Social Listening Unlocks Insights

I introduced social listening to Duolingo via Brandwatch, creating a new insights channel for the marketing and product teams.

Social listening is now an integral part of Duolingo

Since implementing Brandwatch, the tool has been spread to all of the Duolingo marketing teams around the world and I’ve used it to identify sentiment on our brand, product features, courses, marketing campaigns, and executive leadership team.

When Duo was killed, I measured the impact of the UGC and compared it to other major brands’ Super Bowl ads. I found out that our Dead Duo moment was equal in UGC to ~2x Super Bowl ads.

When the AI memo was released, I provided daily updates to our senior leadership team of conversation and sentiment, shaping our strategy moving forward.
